I haven't yet installed VP20 on my Xeon workstation, so does anyone know if VP20 uses all 16 cores (32 threads) like Premiere does? I use the dual-socket Xeons and Titan GPU workstation for heavy lifting else my Sager I-7 cpu laptop for internet and small/quick stuff.
I don't buy subscriptions for workstation because it never goes online with internet for security reasons. I keep Win7 C-drive when needing my standalone older soft apps that will not run on Win10 ie. I still have two swap-able C-drives - one with Win7 and other with Win10. I must update my signature for my workstation computer to Win-10. I needed VP20 for my Sony a7Riv cam files at 4K and 8K (VP16 is too old for newer technology). However, not really a big issue since converter programs are available. I have tested the mkv import capability, and found that VP20 recognizes mkv files but will not import to media/timeline.
